Our Company
What began as a one man show back in 1998 has now blossomed
into one of
West Trek now offers
tours to the Rocky Mountains, Victoria, Whistler, Tofino, Seattle, and Portland
in addition to white water rafting
trips, wine tasting tours, eagle watching tours, whale watching tours plus a variety
of fun outdoor activities.
Over the years, West Trek has bought out or merged with WOW Tours,
Club Canada English Adventures and Action
High Five Adventures.
West Trek has taken tens of thousands of ESL students and
international travellers on tours to some of
West Trek is 100% Canadian owned and operated (and proud of
it!).

full and half day adventures including White Water Rafting on the wild Chilliwack
River; Wine Tasting in the Fraser Valley; or Whale Watching in Steveston (just south
of Vancouver).

Jim Noonan, Founder &
President
Jim has over 25 years travel industry experience including 10 years with Canadian
Airlines, 2 years as an International Tour Manager with Contiki Tours, 2 years as
Owner / Operator of Trent Trek Tours and 11 years running West Trek Tours.
Jim has lived and worked in the Rockies and adds an insiders viewpoint on the

Jeff Leung, Co-Owner &
Vice President
Jeff has been in the tourism industry for over 15 years including positions with
Tourism Vancouver and several ESL schools before coming on board with West Trek.
When he’s not working 80 hours a week, Jeff loves to spend time playing hockey,
fishing and being the consumate family man.

Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? NO - it's Superman! Not to be confused with that talentless dullard with the cape, Lee is the real thing. Histalents are so great and so profuse and his energy so boundless that we have come to realize that Superman lives - -
and he works for West Trek! Leebrings years of guiding experience, tons of enthusiasm, plus a degree in Graphic Design to West Trek.

Kahoru Noonan, Administration
& Japanese Marketing
Kahoru helped Jim break the odds of never getting married with a quiet wedding in
the days of yore.
She is our Japanese coordinator plus produces all the stats.
In addition, she works with Somi to keep our books and finances up to date.
An experienced world traveller, Kahoru also worked as a cheerleader for a baseball team in

West Trek Tour Guides
The engine that really drives our company is our guides. We only hire guides with
experience and most of our team is seeking a career in tourism. Our people have
strong character, are natural leaders and come with a maturity that will enable
them to ensure ALL passengers are looked after. They’re pretty cool people, too.
We’re adopting a similar approach to WestJet in that our guides feel this company
is partly theirs, and it translates into their efforts on the road. With our guides,
you can expect the unexpected.
Whether it be leading the bus in an off-key version
of YMCA or demonstrating how not to Line Dance, they are fun, energetic and always
there for you.

Our “practicum” students are an integral part of our operation. Carefully screened
& recruited, these international students manage all aspects of company administration
& sales. Generally, the staff consists of students from all the major regional
