CANCELLATION BY THE OPERATOR:
A departure date for a scheduled coach tour offered and operated by Discover Canada Tours will become a guaranteed departure when the minimum number of customers secured by a valid deposit has been reached on that departure. Discover Canada Tours guarantees that all scheduled Tour departures booked and secured with a valid deposit will depart as indicated on the applicable confirmation, subject to reasonable itinerary changes as described in these Terms or good faith health and safety concerns. This guarantee is not applicable in the case of Force Majeure. Up to date Tour and itinerary information is available on the Tour Operator’s website or by contacting the Tour Operator. Brochures and other printed materials displaying Tour information and departure dates are subject to change may not be relied upon for purposes of this guarantee.
If a Tour, offered and operated by Discover Canada Tours, is cancelled by Discover Canada Tours before the date of departure for reasons other than Force Majeure and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from the Tour Operator:
- a substitute Tour of equivalent or superior value; or
- a substitute Tour of lesser value if no Tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available and to recover from the Tour Operator the difference in price between the price of the Tour originally purchased and the substitute Tour; or
- a full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled Tour.
In the event of a cancellation (by the supplier) of a travel service not operated but offered by Discover Canada Tours and where Discover Canada Tours acts solely as an agent for the suppliers, all effort is made to provide you with a suitable alternative of the travel service.

Discover Canada Tours acts solely as an agent for the suppliers used in the program. Although great care is taken in choosing suppliers, we are unable to directly control them and therefore cannot be liable for their acts or omissions. The travel services are subject to the conditions imposed by these suppliers, and their liability may be limited to their tariffs, conditions of carriage, international conventions and agreements.
PASSPORTS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
Visitors to Canada from all other countries require a valid passport to enter the country. Citizens of some countries may require a visa. It is your responsibility to check the validity of your passport, which should be valid well beyond your return date and to ensure it meets all requirements for admission into Canada. Many countries require your passport to be valid for six months beyond your travel dates or you may be denied Travel Services. Travelers who fly to Canada may also require an electronic travel authorization document. If you have any questions or concerns with respect to your ability to enter Canada, please consult Immigration and Citizenship Canada. For current information on travel to Canada visit www.travel.gc.ca.
CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY:
Safety is our primary concern. Please note that on some tours, it may be necessary to modify the itinerary due to weather and / or road conditions. If so, we will endeavour to add other sights and activities to replace those omitted. If the itinerary is modified to one that is less expensive than the original, the client will be refunded the difference in cost between the original and modified itineraries. If the itinerary is modified to one that is more expensive than the original, the client’s advance approval will be obtained, and the client will be charged the difference between the original and modified itineraries. If a tour is cancelled and no substitute tour is available or acceptable to the client, the client will be refunded the full cost of the tour minus any applicable vendor payments. The client is responsible for all additional transportation or lodging costs that are necessitated by weather. In addition, if a client has planned to travel by air to a tour or lodging facility that can also be accessed by ground transportation, there will be no refund if the air transportation is cancelled and the client chooses not to access the tour or lodging facility by ground transportation. There are no refunds if a tour operates but the client decides due to weather or any other reason not to participate. Participation in activities, tours, and transportation is not mandatory and purely voluntary. We strongly recommend travel insurance to help protect against unforeseen circumstances.
RESPONSIBILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK:
Discover Canada Tours acts only as agent for the various independent suppliers that provide overnight accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, activities, or other services connected with the itineraries it arranges (hereinafter: “the services and activities”).
