This tour allows you to be as relaxed or adventurous as you like with optional activities like beginner surf lessons, whale watching or kayaking. Live the adventure on this trip of a lifetime! Did you know the locals call Ucluelet – Ukee for short? It’s also much easier to pronounce and spell as well!

This itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen (weather) conditions. Departure times may vary by date, please see your confirmation email for exact departure times.

Arrive at Canada Place at 6:45 am and be greeted by your guide to check-in. You will be asked a series of pre screening questions for COVID as well as have a temperature check. Meet some of your fellow adventurers while you wait for the bus to depart. At 7:15 am sharp, you will depart for Horseshoe Bay for your mini-cruise to the Island. En-route to Horseshoe Bay, you will cross Lion’s Gate Bridge. The North Shore mountains’ views in front of you and the wild Pacific Ocean to the left will give you an excellent view of the more outdoors side of Vancouver. The crossing takes 1h40m. Be on the lookout for sea life as you will often be greeted by seals, eagles and, on rare occasions, whales. Upon arrival on the Island, you will stop in Parksville for lunch. This scenic, quaint town is typical of all the towns on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. Moving inland, you will stop at the Coombs Market, famous for the “goats on the roof.” The resident goats love to hang out on the grassy roof of the Market to eat. You will move onto Ucluelet, a beautiful town on the rugged West Coast of Vancouver Island, where you will be staying for the next two nights. Before checking into your hotel, you stop partake in an easy 1.5km hike to the working lighthouse on one of the bluffs. Check into your accommodations at the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort. Enjoy the onsite amenities, including a restaurant, spa, outdoor plunge pool and hot tub. There are nearby trails and beaches to explore if you’d like to venture outdoors.

This morning, after breakfast, you will depart for the town of Tofino, a short 30-minute drive north. Tofino is known for its culinary treats, the best surfing in Canada and a host of other ocean sports and activities. We recommend that you book your activities with us in advance, as during the high-season these popular activities sell out fast! Your guide will point you in the right direction for some excellent food and sightseeing in Tofino. You will have an option to join your guide for a late afternoon leisurely walk to Tonquin Beach, easily accessible from town. Travelling back to Ukee this evening, you will make a stop at Long Beach, where you will be able to walk for miles, 10 miles to be exact. Once you are back in Ukee, the evening is at your leisure. You can also choose to join your guide on Big Beach, a 10-minute walk from your hotel, to have an authentic Canadian campfire and our famous s’mores.

This morning you can choose to sleep in and relax at the resort or book an optional activity departing from Ukee in the early mornings. Again, we highly recommend that you book your activity in advance with us before your tour so that you are not disappointed. You will leave Ukee in the afternoon as you travel back to Vancouver. The tour’s last stop is a visit to Cathedral Grove, a protected old-growth forest with ancient Douglas Fir trees dating back more than 800 years! There will be another mini-cruise as you take the final leg back to Vancouver. You can expect to arrive back at Canada Place at 9 pm, depending on traffic.

Your tour includes all the essentials but you can add extra wow-factor to your tour by adding on the activities and accommodation upgrades that suit you best.

I felt very safe during the tour

I went 3 days camping to Tofino, the experience was an amazing experience with an excellent tour guide and auxiliars. I felt safe because we used the masks all the time we were not able to maintain physical distance, and the guides were always checking temperature and giving us hand sanitizer in order to keep everyone safe during the trip. All the activities I did were so enjoyable.

My tour guide Luke was amazing!

It is the second time I travel with you, and I can just say that you guys are amazing! Luke, my tour guide, was always taking care of us and showing us all the good parts of Tofino, he also made me think about surfing, I do not have any complain about it, it was just a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! For sure I will book another trip with you guys.
