Welcome to the highlight of your season! Visitors from all over the world come to Silver Star for the epic snowfall and legendary terrain. Known for its famous champagne powder snow, this mountain will get you hooked on all sorts of outdoor recreation.
Day 1 – Vancouver to the Silver Star Mountain Resort
12:15pm – Depart from Waterfront Station and head east towards British Columbia’s interior! We will have stops in Hope for lunch and Kelowna to get supplies before arriving in Vernon. Here you can settle in to your accommodations and feel free to walk around the small mountain town. Later in the night you will have an opportunity to hang out with your tour group at one of the local restaurants. This gives you the chance to get to know all the people you will be skiing and boarding with tomorrow!
Day 2 – Ski, Apres
7:45am – Rise and shine for breakfast (included) before heading out to the ski slopes. Today will consist of any optional activities you are interested in, whether it be skiing and boarding, tubing, skating, snowshoeing–the choice is yours! Silver Star Resort offers skiing and boarding for people of every level, with beginner friendly runs all the way to extreme black diamond runs, so there’s something for everyone! We will have the freedom to explore this mountain from dawn until dusk, when the ski-run LED lights get turned on for extended nighttime skiing after sunset. Once the day is done we convene for dinner and pints at a local pub. Then we will have a après-ski (or after-ski) party to celebrate our exciting day of snow sports.
Day 3 – Ski and return to Vancouver
7:45am – Rise and shine for breakfast (included) for one more day of adventuring at Silver Star Resort. At the end of the day we will pile on the bus for the drive back to Vancouver, exhausted, but with memories of lines that you will be telling your grandchildren about.
Silver Star Resort is famous for its champagne powder and varied terrain that attracts every kind of skier to BC’s third largest ski area. With ski slopes that start at beginner friendly green runs and span all the way to extreme black diamond runs, there is an opportunity for every ski and boarder to explore this massive mountain resort. For those who are interested in visiting Silver Star but don’t want to ski–no worries!–this tour provides the freedom for you to choose among a variety of mountain snow sports options, such as tubing, skating, snowshoeing, and so on. At the end of the day, our accommodation in Vernon offers refuge from the cold mountain air with an indoor pool, hot tub, and free wifi.
