Day 1 – Travel from Vancouver to Valemount

Meet at 7:00 am to begin our journey to the Rocky Mountains. Our first stop is Hope where the original Rambo First Blood movie was filmed. From here we will make our way over the beautiful and scenic Coquihalla Highway to Kamloops, where we will stop for lunch. From Kamloops, we continue to Valemount, stopping at Spahats Falls on the way. We stop en route for you to pick up some dinner supplies.  After checking into our hotel in Valemount we get the campfire going and invite you to bring your dinner out to the fire and meet new friends.  After dinner you can take part in a game of Hockey in the Rockies!  Great fun!

Day 2 – Valemount to Banff

Breakfast (included) before departing Valemount at approximately 8:00 am.  Our first stop is Mount Robson – the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies.  From there we head to Jasper before heading south on the famous Icefields Parkway – named one of the most beautiful drives in the world!  Our first stop on the Parkway is Athabasca Falls before we reach the Columbia Icefields. At the Icefields we strongly recommend that you join the Glacier Snowcoach tour.  This is a highlight for many of our guests.  The enormous Snocoach will take you up onto the Athabasca Glacier for a great photo opportunity (remember your water bottle to taste some of the freshest water in the world!).  After the Columbia Icefields we head to stunning Peyto Lake followed by Bow Lake where the brave can try a Polar Wolf Swim!  After a full and busy day we check in our 4 star hotel, complete with indoor pool and water slide, in beautiful Canmore.  Canmore is where the Canadians live (Banff is too expensive!) so you have a much better chance of meeting locals as you head out to explore the “downtown” restuarants, pubs and nightlife.

Day 3 – Banff to Golden

Guests can grab some breakfast in Canmore or at the supermarket before we head off on a driving tour featuring Lake Minnewanka, Two Jack Lake and Cascade Ponds.  We then head to world famous Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.  We strongly recommend the Lake Louise Gondola and all-you-can-eat buffet lunch.  We LOVE all-you-can-eat buffets!  Amazing value and incredible views all the way to Lake Louise.   After the Lake Louise area we head over the Kicking Horse Pass to Emerald Lake, one of the most beautiful places to go canoeing (optional). That evening we will arrive at Mountain View Cabins – another highlight of the tour! You will have the ultimate Canadian experience, spending the night in cabins, having an all-you-can-eat barbecue dinner (included), and roasting s’mores (marshmallows) over the campfire! Look towards the sky on a clear night to see millions of stars!

Day 4 – Golden to Vancouver

Today is the last day of your trip to the Rocky Mountains! As always, the breakfast is all-you-can-eat (included).  We begin our journey home traveling over Rogers Pass before stopping at The Last Spike on the trans-continental railway.  From there we head through the Okanagan Valley.  We stop for a relaxing lunch in Kelowna – home to a legendary water monster called Ogopogo!  If the weather cooperates we have a beach stop in Kelowna and you have the opportunity for a dip in a beautiful lake.  From Kelowna we drive through the Coquihalla Valley.   We plan to arrive back in Vancouver at approximately 7:00 pm, where your unforgettable journey to the Canadian Rocky Mountains will come to an end.

"I did the Trip to the Rockies at the first weekend of August 2014. And well, it was the best thing I have done in Canada. You'll meet a lot of friendly people and so I made a lot of new, good friends. And of course you will see the most incredible nature and wildlife. My personal favorite is Moraine Lake! Our tourguide Lee and his team did a very good job. He cared about everything and always looked that everybody is happy! So in this way a big thank you to Lee for the amazing trip!"
