FAQs

What type of accommodation is this tour based on?

All night stays of this tour are in mixed-gender hostel dormitory rooms, chosen for their affordability, great facilities, and social atmosphere.

Female-only dorm rooms can be requested, and while it can usually be accommodated, availability cannot be guaranteed.

If you require private accommodation, please contact us for alternative options. However, please note that no alternatives are available for the Icefield Parkway overnight stay.

Will I be traveling with the same group for the entire tour?

The Caribou Rocky Mountains Tour is part of several combination tours, meaning travelers may join or leave the tour in Banff at different times. This creates a dynamic group environment where you’ll have the chance to meet and connect with even more like-minded adventurers along the way!

What is the best time of year to travel on this tour?

It depends on your priorities! If you’re looking for the best value and fewer crowds, Low Season (May and October) offers a quieter experience with lower tour prices. However, the weather can be more unpredictable, some sites may be closed, and glacial lakes might still be frozen. If you prefer warm, stable weather and full access to all sites, Peak Season (June to September) is ideal—just keep in mind that it’s busier and tours are more expensive during this time.

What happens if an activity or stop on the itinerary is cancelled?

All itineraries are subject to change, and certain activities or stops may be cancelled without notice due to weather, traffic, or other unforeseen events. If this happens, rest assured that best efforts will be made to provide alternative options, or you may enjoy more free time to explore on your own.
