On this tour you’ll travel over 2,000 kilometres, leaving the Province of British Columbia to Alberta, and even cross a time-zone! You will spend 1 night and day in Banff, the most famous town in the Rockies, enjoy sledding/tobogganing at Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka!

Itinerary

This itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen (weather) conditions. Departure times may vary by date, please see your confirmation email for exact departure times.

  • 07:15 am – Depart Vancouver from Canada Place (please arrive by 7:00 am) 
  • The fun begins! Your friendly Tour Guide will start off the tour with introductions and games so you can meet the other passengers. Hear interesting facts about Vancouver as you make your way out of the city and into the mountains!
  • Hope – where the original Rambo First Blood movie was filmed
  • Scenic Coquihalla Highway made famous for its winter conditions
  • Lunch stop in Kamloops, our province’s desert!
  • Check-in at the Travelodge in Golden 
  • Free time to grab dinner and to enjoy the hotel’s pool and hot tub
  • Breakfast at your hotel (included)
  • Explore Emerald Lake – Challenge yourself to a Polar Roll and get points towards becoming a true Canadian!
  • Visit world famous Lake Louise. Optional ice skating or snowshoeing (seasonal)
  • Go tobogganing at Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka
  • Continue your drive to Banff. Once in Banff, enjoy a driving tour of one of the most visited towns in Canada
  • Check into your hotel in Banff
  • Free time to go shopping on Banff Avenue and try one of the many restaurants
  • Grab breakfast to-go (included)
  • Option to take the Sulphur Mountain Gondola (additional cost)
  • Option to participate in an exciting winter activity like snowshoeing, ice walking or skiing/snowboarding at Lake Louise Ski Resort  (Please note we only recommend the skiing/snowboarding option for experienced skiers/snowboarders as the tour guide will not be with you, you will get to the ski hill via the complimentary mountain shuttle)
  • If you are not participating in an activity, sleep in and enjoy free time to explore the town
  • Depart Banff in the afternoon for Golden
  • Check into your Golden hotel and enjoy the indoor pool with waterslide and hot tub
  • Enjoy an end-of-tour Canadian Bonfire party and learn to roast “s’mores”!
  • Depart Golden
  • Stop at Craigellachie (the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway)
  • Stop at the Aberdeen Shopping mall for lunch 
  • Return to Vancouver at approximately 7:30pm

  • Swimsuit for heated pools and hot tubs
  • WARM clothes including gloves, toque, ski pants and warm jacket – temperatures can actually drop below -15 degrees!
  • Passport and second piece of ID
  • Good/comfortable & warm walking shoes

A dream tour

I had a wonderful trip to Rocky Mountains through the company. The accommodations were well located and some of the nicest in the areas we visited. The landscapes were stunning. Our guide was excellent. She gave us a complete overview of the history and culture of the cities and countryside. She was always available to us, and made great restaurant choices for us for the meals that were not included in our itinerary. Those meals that were included were at some of the best restaurants available. Our driver who was also always available to us, navigated the roads both within the cities and without, with care and knowledge of the areas through which we traveled. We would not hesitate to recommend this travel company to anyone wishing to tour British Columbia and Alberta.

Excellent Tour!

I had an excellent time on this tour. The scenery was fantastic, our tour guides, Jude and Angie, were great, the amount of knowledge they had regarding everywhere we went and also about Canada in general was really quite extraordinary! It was delivered in such a way that you never felt bored and there was the right amount so that we were informed but it was not too much. The whole tour was very well organised – keeping 50+ people on track is no mean feat! The hotels were good and the coach was comfortable. Our driver Tammy, was also great – some of the roads looked pretty tricky but she never missed a beat and always cheerful!! I came away with great memories and a lot more knowledge about Canada. Thank you for an awesome experience!!!

Amazing Tour of the Rockies!

I did the 4D3N Summer Classic Tour of the Rockies and it was amazing! Our guide Chris was great; informative, funny and good at managing such a big group of us. Our driver was pretty nice as well, and we got to all our places safely and on time. The hotel accommodation in Revelstoke and Banff were good, with the breakfast buffet at Banff being the highlight. I didn’t quite enjoy the bbq dinner/ranch breakfast as the food wasn’t great. Overall though, a lovely trip!

Unforgettable tour through the most awe inspiring scenery.

We have the highest praise for this tour. Starting from the itinerary, scenic spot stops, hotel stays, safety, comfort and fun during the bus ride we would give this tour a ten on ten! Our special thanks to Jude, Angie and Tammy, who made the tour a totally fun and enjoyable experience. Their dedication, organization and attention to detail deserves the highest praise. Jude and Angie, your “baby bears” loved the care and attention you gave us. interesting stories and information that you shared with us during the ride made our trip more meaningful and memorable. Tammy you are a hero for driving us around dawn to dusk through those tough mountain roads. If I were to go to Mars, I would definitely love to have these three young ladies in charge! Thank you all for a trip we will never forget.
